Biography

Dagoberto G. Jaquinet Cejas, (Esmeralda, Camaguey, 1942). He studied at the School of Fine Arts San Alejandro. Havana, Cuba and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, where he graduated as Specialist in Restoration of Works of Art. Restoration directed the Department of National Museum of Fine Arts for a decade. Subsequently became an independent artist.

Dagoberto G. Jaquinet Cejas, (Esmeralda, Camaguey, 1942). He studied at the School of Fine Arts San Alejandro. His return from Europe until 1992 worked Blacksmithing Ceramics and Art. From then until now has devoted his art work and painting, especially in the art of pastel on cardboard and wire sculptures and blown soldier, has now resumed again on acrylic on canvas.

 

Exhibitions Personal:

= 1984, Andalusian and African Legends in Gallery 12 and 23, Vedado, Havana.

= He made 5 solo exhibitions at The Gallery Wifredo Lam and the Museum of Marianao, painting and sculpture.

= 1996, made several samples of paintings in different cities in Denmark and with Salvador Gonzalez and Maritza Galano a monumental sculpture in honor of Yemaya-Olokun.

= 1997, Exhibition and Other Ghost Riders, Carmelo Gonzalez Gallery.

= 1998, Exhibition and other Ghost Riders in Niak City, New York.

= 1999, traveled to West Palm Beach and an exhibit along with the painter Omar Torres. The following month, the exhibition was staged at the Museum of Art and History in Delray Beach.

= 2002, Exhibits Portraits Orishas in the Neptuno Triton Hotel Complex, collateral

2003, prize contest community project.

2004, has been honored for his contribution to the National Museum of Fine Arts.

2005, was awarded Distinction Gitana Tropical in the province of Havana City,

DISTINCTIONS for National Culture "that would give the Ministry of Culture.

2006, was appointed emeritus of The ACAA potter.

2007, was awarded the Tulip del Cerro.

He was president of the ACAA, and is a member of Uneac.
